I wanted to make some small knitted items for my granddaughters, so I made scarves, toques and purses for their dolls. Here they are:
I just did straight knitting stitches using two colours of yarn. I put some cute animal buttons on the purse flap with an elastic loop to fasten it and I slipped a loonie (dollar coin) inside the purses. Each set took about two hours to make.
Hi Mollie,
Been a long time since we had contact, my fault not yours! We are living in Summerland, B.C. just up from Penticton on the Okanagan Lake. Having survived three hip replacements(two for Dusty and one for me as well as a knee replacement), we are just starting to get back on our feet, so to speak. I am writing my life story, gee it’s a long one, but would love to hear from you.
Cheers, David
Hi David, I so enjoyed your phone call. I have had one knee replacement and am due for my second one any day this year (hopefully in the spring or summer). I am glad to hear that you are writing your autobiography. I have four books I bought that are for the grandchildren. They ask specific questions for grandparents to fill in the answers. I must say it is a challenge indeed to plow back into my mind’s files. As I used to tell Mom, my secretary is not as nimble as she once was and the files are in a right old mess up there in my brain. Let’s keep in contact more often.
Love your cuz,
Mollie
