Our poor garden is still going even during our season of drought. The gladiolas have fainted but the phlox and sunflowers are doing quite well. Black-eyed susans are perky and the birds are taking baths in the heat. Here is the proof.
If you happen to know any rain dances, Ontario would surely appreciate it. Our grass is crispy crunch right now. 😀
In our garden it’s the squirrels, chipmunks and racoons that finish things off. My husband saw a red squirrel chasing off a black squirrel. Our dog took off after both of them – great drama! 😀
Your sunflowers are quite stunning. And the phlox must smell heavenly. It finally rained here last night , and the last of my flowers got a good dose of water. They look a bit brighter this morning.
We’ve had a few days of rain, but our veggie garden is done. The birds are feasting on the sunflowers.
We have a woodchuck who loves to feast on just about anything, so not much is left in our yard or the neighbor’s veggie garden. I love to see birds clinging to the sunflowers munching on the seeds.
